A water-photolysis system composed of Prussian Blue (PB) and the tris(2,2 prime -bipyridine)ruthenium(II) complex( left bracket Ru(bpy)//3 right bracket **2** plus ) which evolves hydrogen and oxygen simultaneously was studied.
