Formation of nanoparticles by intramolecular cross-linking: Following the reaction progress of single polymer chains by atomic force microscopy

Aliphatic polycarbonates with pendant vinyl groups were transformed into nanoparticles through intramolecular olefin cross-metathesis under dilute conditions.
