trans-RuC12(slMes)(CHC6H4O1-Pr)(Ph2P(OMe)), trans-C843: C627 (1 .0 g,1.59 mmol) was dissolved in degassed DCM (25 mL) in an 1-neck round-bottomed flask with a magnetic stir bar under nitrogen, to which methyl diphenylphosphinite (0.379g, 1.75 mmol) was added. The flask was capped with a gas adaptor. The mixture was degassed via N2/vacuum cycle 3-times. After 1 h of stirring at room temperature, the solvent was removed under high vacuum. Degassed methanol (75mL) was added to the residue. A purple solid was collected by a frit funnel with vacuum filtration. The solid was further dried under high vacuum for 16h.
